Glyn Jones

Glyn Jones was trained at Leeds and taught at three schools during his teaching career. From an industrial background in the 1970’s he decided to change his career and become a teacher.

He has been involved with numerous initiatives relating to the development of Design and Technology within educational establishments. He assisted with the trialling of KS3 materials and was appointed Assistant Chief Moderator at KS3 for the whole of Wales. He has also been heavily involved with moderation at both GCSE and AS/A2 level.

Biography

Director

From being a qualified toolmaker with Dennis Ferranti’s where he attained a full Technological Certificate thus enabling him to train as a teacher at Carnegie College, Leeds. This was followed with a B Ed degree at Bangor University. He has extensive experience of working for the WJEC at all key stages and was one of the founders of the Modular Technology GCSE courses where he specialised in Mechanisms, Pneumatics, Electronics and Structures. He is currently a visiting moderator within A level Design Technology.
