Les Porter
Les Porter was teacher trained at Shoreditch Teacher Training College and after a number of appointments in Surrey, he was appointed as Head of the Design and Technology faculty at Sandhurst School in Berkshire in 1974.
During his time with Berkshire he was seconded as part of the LEA advisory team and also undertook an MA in D&T Education.
In 1991 he was appointed as Course Director for D&T Initial Teacher Education at Brunel University and he worked there in both The Product Design Department and DTE department until starting his own design consultancy in 2003. He has many D&T related publications and is very passionate about the development and sustainability of the subject.
