Accreditation Routes
There are three routes to accreditation for your DATA Health & Safety Award.
Accreditation by Portfolio
- Download the PDFs that appear below, produce evidence to support each of the statements. This may be in the form of a certificate from a previous course and/or documentation in the form of witness statements or photographs of you, or your students, working in that particular work area.
- Accreditation by portfolio usually takes about 3 hours plus costs. This is available for group sizes up to 10 people in one session, larger groups will incur an extra cost.
Safety Training Course
- Full training can be provided by Datrus for individual modules. This could be done at your school or at a centre.
- The training times for these modules vary dependant upon the content of the module.
Combination Course
- As departmental budgets become tighter. This route is becoming more popular with many schools. It is a full one-day course and is aimed at those teachers and technicians with experience, who find that their H&S qualification is out of date.
- Part of the day is spent re-visiting the Core and engaging in some interactive sessions based around that element. The rest of the day involves undertaking practical activities based on the machines that delegates wish to be qualified on. (Circular Saw, Bandsaw and Planner/Thicknesser prove to be the most popular options).
